Supplemental learning tool
The platform is intended for general educational and supplemental learning purposes only. It is designed to support practice and reflection, not to replace classroom instruction, professional tutoring, individualized education plans, school-based assessment, or advice from qualified teachers or education professionals.
AI-generated content and feedback
Questions, explanations, scores, writing feedback, examples, and recommendations may be generated or supported by artificial intelligence or automated rules. Although reasonable efforts are made to improve accuracy and educational quality, content may contain errors, omissions, inappropriate difficulty levels, or interpretations that do not match a teacher's expectations or an individual learner's needs.
Students, parents, and guardians should review important academic content independently and consult a qualified educator when appropriate.
No guaranteed academic outcome
Alberta Learning Coach does not guarantee improved grades, test scores, success on classroom or provincial assessments, admission to any school or program, compliance with every teacher's grading criteria, or any specific academic or learning outcome.
Writing Coach
Writing Coach is intended to help students understand and improve their own writing through feedback, revision guidance, and practice. It should not be used to submit AI-generated work as the student's own work where doing so would violate a teacher's, school's, or academic program's rules.
Parent and guardian supervision
For child users, a parent, guardian, school, or authorized adult should supervise use as appropriate. The service should be one part of a broader learning process that may also include classroom instruction, teacher feedback, reading, discussion, practice, and family support.

Alberta Learning Coach is an independent learning tool and is not an official Government of Alberta service and is not affiliated with the Government of Alberta.
